“Six Pack Abs” by Matt Roberts Book Review

“Six Pack Abs” (not to be confused with “The Truth about SIX PACK ABS) is a popular ab book from the UK. Written in 2003, its main focus is abdominal exercises. As far as fitness books go, it ranks around the middle of the pack. It is a short (only 96 pages) but yet complicated (some of the exercises can be difficult to learn) book. For an in-depth analysis keep reading.

Who is Matt Roberts?

Matt Roberts is one of the most popular fitness trainers in the UK. He might be best known for opening the first one on one personal trainer club in London. Among his clientele include Naomi Campbell and Mel C from the Spice Girls. He has created his own company that comprises fitness clubs, personal trainer schools, and even clothes.  He is the author of many other fitness books including “Bum and Tums.”

Is “Six Pack Abs” interesting?

One of the bigger cons about the book is that it is rather dull. There is no personality, just information. The book has more pictures than words.

Does “Six Pack Abs” work?

“Six Pack Abs” focuses more on exercises. The book has 3 workouts that are comprised of 8 exercises. The workouts take about a half an hour to complete. Some of the different exercises can be difficult to learn but there are plenty of pictures to get you in the right direction. The exercises are nothing new but they are solid and can significantly help out with getting good abs.

One of the workout sessions requires the use of a Swiss ball. Swiss balls are relatively inexpensive and can easily be acquired.

Expect your stomach to be really sore the first few workouts but after a few weeks the soreness should leave. “Six Pack Abs” is not a miracle workout but with some hard work after a few weeks you should start noticing some results.

Complete Focus on the Abs

A good and a bad thing (depending on how you look at it) about “Six Pack Abs” is that it mainly focuses on the abs. For the most part the rest of the body is ignored.  This is not an overall fitness book or a book designed to get your body in shape. The book has a single vision, to help you get six pack abs.

Matt Roberts doesn’t go into much detail about a healthy diet.

How much is “Six Pack Abs”?

“Six Pack Abs” can be purchased online for around $15. This is moderately priced for a book of its quality.

Is there a money back guarantee?

There is no money back guarantee with “Six Pack Abs”, it is only sold by third party retailers.

Is “Six Pack Abs” worth purchasing?

“Six Pack Abs” is a decent ab book but doesn’t contain much that separates itself from the pack. It contains a few quality abdominal exercises but nothing more.
